A 19th-Century English antique brass chamberstick which was most probably made as a trade sample and used in a shop window for advertising purposes.
The single candleholder has a broad rim with a rolled edge and is supported by a plain brass stem which is fitted with a functioning side ejector. The stem joins the base by way of a tapered and flared support. The base forms a large drip pan, again with a flared rim and a single carry-handle is riveted to this by way of two copper rivets.
Provenance - Found in Yorkshire, England.
