A mid-16th Century German antique stoneware beer stein.
Originating from Raeren, Germany, circa 1550-1580.
The cylindrical body with decorative rings has an applied medallion to the front-centre with a decorative flower vase and bearing the initials "IK". A shaped handle is applied to the body with four decorative notches below.
Provenance - Ex private collection, Norfolk.
Condition - There are very minor traces of restoration to the main body. This has been done very well and cannot be detected unless under very close scrutiny. Please refer to the images. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
