A rare pair of elongated brass candlesticks, circa 1660-1710.
English origin.
Each has a candle socket with a flared rim and decorative band over a four-knopped solid stem, supported on a circular bell-shaped base with a raised rim.
The underside of each stick base has signs of being spun.
A similar example albeit with the addition of a push-up ejector to part of the stem, can be seen in the reference book "The English Candlestick, 1425-1925," Author, Eloy Koldeweij, Page 156, Catalogue Plate 142.
Provenance - Found within East Anglia, close to Norwich, Norfolk, England.
Condition - Please refer to the images which speak for themselves. There is surface wear commensurate with age. A further condition report is available upon request.
