A late 18thC / early 19thC hoop back / bow back Windsor chair.
The back with a single bow and elongated spindles, over a slab seat, supported on four turned legs, united by a turned "H" stretcher.
The chair was probably made as a garden chair as it retains remnants of its original green paint, especially to the underside of the seat board.
Provenance - Found in the South-East of England.
Condition - Good overall. Please refer to the images. There is evidence that there may have been arm rests when the chair was originally made which have been historically removed This does not detract from the chair which remains a useful and durable piece of furniture as well as aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
