Pair of Late 16th-Century English Antique Carved Oak Terms, Circa 1580
A pair of English antique carved oak terms dating back to the reign of Elizabeth I, circa 1580.
Both terms depict male figures (torsos) below a floral rosette-decorated pediment. Each portrayed with a moustache and long slender beard, one hand placed behind the back, the other resting on a classical plinth base carved with a Green Man type mask and geometric pattern.
These panels have period charm and display well.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition- Please refer to the images. There are general marks and wear commensurate with age, with minor signs of old woodworm (historic, inactive and treated as a precautionary measure). A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
