This fine German stoneware Bellarmine jug (Bartmannkrug), dating to the mid‑17th century, is a superb example of Rhineland salt‑glazed pottery. The jug features a two‑tone glaze with an elongated neck decorated by the classic bearded mask motif, a hallmark of Bartmann wares.
Bellarmine jugs were widely exported across Europe and valued for their durability and distinctive design. This piece’s balanced proportions, strong glaze, and historical resonance make it an ideal addition to collections of antique ceramics, continental stoneware, and decorative antiques.

Condition: As per the images. There are hairline cracks to the body, but all are stable, and the jug displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
