A mid-17th-century Dutch “Heemskirk” candlestick, crafted in four parts with a flared socket and knopped stem — a classic example of early brass lighting. Its sculptural form and rich patina speak to centuries of use and care, offering collectors a rare glimpse into the domestic and ceremonial life of the Dutch Golden Age. A museum-worthy piece for connoisseurs of metalware and primitive lighting.
Provenance: Holland. 17th century.
Condition: Please refer to the images. There is minor surface wear. Part of the raised rim of the drip pan has a slight loss. The surface of the metal overall has been allowed to oxidize. A detailed condition report is available upon request.
