A rare retable figure group fragment depicting Joseph of Arimathea placing Christ's body in a shroud.
Mid 15thC, circa 1450.
Carved in oak. Possibly Flemish origin.
With the addition of a rear supporting block, this carving stands freely in an upright position.
Condition - Age related wear to the surface as per the images however the features can still be seen. Please bear in mind that this carving is in excess of 500 years old!
