One of the best 18th-Century Welsh antique oak dressers we have sourced in quite some time!
Sourced directly from a private Norfolk-based property, the dresser comprises: a moulded pediment and three graduated shelves flanked by carved supports over a dresser base. The base with a plank top and an arrangement of three drawers over a further three to the centre (the bottom two are faux) flanked each side by a cupboard door. Supported overall on bracket feet.
The dresser base retains its original bone escutcheons and brass handles.
Both cupboard doors open to reveal an interior fitted with an additional pine shelf of later date.
The dresser oozes all the charm of the period which it relates.
Provenance - Purchased privately from a period cottage in Swaffham, Norfolk.
Condition. There is surface wear commensurate with age. Please refer to the images. The locks to each cupboard door no longer function. The backboards to rack may by later. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
