When we came across this cupboard, we couldn't resist its primitive appeal and aged surface.
Discovered in the Welsh borders, this cupboard is constructed from mixed timbers but predominantly oak.
With a single plank door, joined to the carcass by way of old hand-forged "T-hinges", the door with an old iron lock opens once the wooden catch is released to reveal an interior fitted with two shelves. Again the interior retains its original paint.
The cupboard original sat within a rebate within a cottage wall however it can be easily fixed to a wall with the use of a baton and appropriate wall fixings.
Provenance - Sourced directly from Wales.
Condition - Please refer to the images. Wear commensurate with age. The lock has no key and no longer functions.
