A beautifully turned late 18th-century English treen dry goods jar, crafted from a single piece of wood and retaining its original lid. With its warm patina and subtle tool marks, this tactile vessel speaks to the quiet utility and enduring charm of Georgian domestic life. Whether used for display or storage, it offers collectors a rare and authentic example of period kitchenalia with both form and function.
Provenance: England. 18th century.
Condition - Please refer to the images. Some surface wear is commensurate with age. The inner rim of the jar, where the lid fits, has a minor loss. This cannot be seen when the lid is placed upon it, and the fit remains snug. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
