A late 17th-Century Continental antique leather costrel.
Formed from two pieces of leather, hand stitched together.
Used for carrying drinkable liquid be it water or some thing else.
Attributed to the Ottoman Empire.
With an elongated spout at one end, the other used as a handle. The centre has a small open aperture that would once have accommodated a leather carry strap.
Provenance - Unknown.
