A generously proportioned late 18th-century Scandinavian treen scoop or bowl, carved from a single block of wood with a broad, shallow basin and integral handle. The surface retains its original dry patina, with tool marks and wear consistent with long domestic use. Its form suggests use in dairy, grain, or kitchen settings, and its scale and sculptural simplicity lend it a strong visual presence.
