A very large antique scoop or spoon, carved from a single piece of hardwood, most likely sycamore. The ladle displays a rich, time‑worn patina, the result of centuries of careful use and preservation. Its generous proportions and hand‑hewn form speak to its utilitarian origins in the late 1600s, while today it stands as a rare survivor of English treen craftsmanship.
