A large 19thC antique child's toy in the form of a Noah's Ark, constructed from wood and painted in green and white and of typical form.
Possibly Continental in origin.
Complete with a herd of naively carved wooden animals of varying species and in pairs, after the biblical story, along with a naively-carved Noah too!
The roof opens to reveal a void interior aside an applied label to the underside with a biblical text, in English, referring to Noah, his family and the story of The Ark.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition - Please refer to the images. There are general marks and wear commensurate with age. The roof has a minor split and there are some losses to the painted decoration. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
