A late 18th-century English antique silk map sampler of England & Wales.
Undertaken by Mary Scarth, Leeds, circa 1790.
With named counties and with selected cities, towns and villages, surrounded with a trailing foliate border.
Presented behind glass and within a period rosewood frame with gilt inner-slip.
Provenance - Acquired within East Anglia, England.
Condition - Please refer to the images. Age-related brown discolouration, with very minor tears noted in the top-middle edge and bottom left corner. The sampler displays well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
