A superb large 18th‑century treen plate, hand‑turned from a single piece of hardwood and displaying the rich patina that only centuries of use can create. Measuring an impressive 44cm in diameter, this substantial platter would once have served at the heart of a Georgian household, its broad surface ideal for bread, meats, or communal dining.
The plate retains its beautifully worn surface, with tool marks, age‑darkened grain, and traces of historic use that speak to its long life. The underside carries period initials and markings, adding a layer of personal history and charm.
