A large 17th-century English antique carved stone sculpture of a lions head.
Carved in the round. The head was once a decorative adornment to a period building now long since lost.
With traces of brown polychromy to the mane.
This head displays well and would look good in both a garden or interior setting.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition - Please refer to the images. There is surface wear commensurate with age. The head has great presence. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
