A charming George III period English cricket table in ash and elm, displaying the honest wear and character that only two centuries of domestic use can create. The table stands on three splayed legs with a beautifully figured circular top, all in a warm russet‑cream tone typical of early country furniture.
Its proportions are elegant and practical — light enough to move around a room, yet sturdy and well‑balanced. The surface shows age‑appropriate wear, adding depth and authenticity without compromising stability. A classic example of 18th–19th century vernacular craftsmanship, perfect for cottages, period interiors, or collectors of early English country furniture.
Provenance: England. Late 18th/early 19th-century, circa 1780-1800.
Material: Ash and elm.
