George III Period, Early 19th Century English Antique Pine Wall Rack With Pigeon Holes - In Original Painted Finish

An early 19th‑century antique pine wall rack with pigeon holes, dating to the George III period.
Retaining its original painted finish, the piece exemplifies utilitarian furniture elevated by craftsmanship. The scorch mark lower right — likely from a candle placed nearby — adds a tangible narrative of domestic life in the Regency era. With multiple compartments, this rack would have served as practical storage for correspondence or household items, while today it stands as a rare survival of vernacular design.
Its authenticity and patina make it a valuable addition for collectors of Georgian furniture and social history. Also ideal in a contemporary setting in the kitchen, living room or kitchen as a functional piece of furniture for today.
Provenance: England/Wales. Early 19th century.
Condition: Good overall. Please refer to the images.
Dimensions: H: 36” (91.5cm) x W: 29.75” (75.5cm) x D: 7.25” (18cm).
