A rare two-tier antique oak mural candlebox and spill holder.
Early 18th-Century. Welsh origin.
Nailed construction.
With a shaped pediment over an upper tier with plank lid and an open tier/pocket below. The hanging aperture is hidden within the upper back wall plate of the candlebox.
Provenance - Sourced from Wales.
Condition - the original leather hinge to the candlebox has been replaced with two later brass hinges.
