Rare Pair Of Early 18th Century English Antique Ember Tongs
A rare pair of antique ember tongs dating back to the early 18th Century.
English origin.
They are made from steel.
With two elongated handles/stems, each tipped with a decorative finial and both shafts each have a decorative knop. A pivot joins the two pieces of steel. The tongs terminate with a pair of shaped jaws that close when the two handles/stems are pressed towards one another.
Provenance - Ex-private collection, Yorkshire, England.
