An early-to-mid 17th-Century Dutch antique delftware tile from the Dutch Golden Age, circa 1625-1650.
Tin-glaze over an earthenware body.
In underglaze blue and depicting a stylised gentleman standing full-length in period attire with a walking stick, and decorated at each corner with "Ox-head" decoration
Provenance - Sourced from Holland.
Condition - Please refer to the images. There is surface wear commensurate with age and a naive repair to the bottom right corner. The tile displays well.
Size - 13.2 cm x 13.2 cm x 1.2 cm (5 1/8" x 5 1/8" x 1/2")
