An early 19thC English antique clock dial. Made for a 30-hour long case clock.

Signed "R Francis, Attleborough".  Richard Francis (B.1749-D.1819) is recorded as a clockmaker in the reference book "Norfolk and Norwich Clocks and Clockmakers" by Clifford and Yvonne Bird, Page 101. Attleborough is a market town based in Norfolk, England.

The 11" dial comprises floral corner spandrels with roman numerals for each hour and each quarter-minute. With a central aperture to accommodate an axle for the hour and minute hands and below, a second date aperture.

Please note that there is no movement or hands.

Condition - as per the images. Wear to the surface commensurate with age. This is a charming decorative item.
