An early 19thC English antique comb-back Windsor armchair.

Constructed from yew, fruitwood, ash and elm.

With a shaped cresting rail over a fretted splat flanked by spindles. The shaped arms and supports over an elm seat. With four turned legs united by an "H" Stretcher.

Lovely colour.

Provenance: The chair bears a collection number and label to the underside of the seatboard. Bob (Robert) Parrott was a member of The Regional Furniture Society and contributed and wrote many articles on chairs.  He also wrote the catalogue for The Windsor Chair Exhibition at West Wycombe Park, of an exhibition held in May 2012, no. 4, in conjunction with Michael Harding-Hill.

A great looking, functional, piece of furniture.
