An early 18th-century primitive antique treen (wooden) lantern with four glazed panels.
The lid with open vent and a wire carry handle. One glazed aperture opens to provide access to the interior.
Provenance - Unknown origin. Possibly North-European.
Condition - Please refer to the images. All the glazing has been replaced over the years. The inteior candle socket is missing but can be easily replaced. As a suitable alternative, the lantern would easily accomodate a modern tea light to provide illumination. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
