An early 17th Century Spanish antique velvet-clad box decorated with silver thread embroidery.

The hand-stitched embroidery incorporates birds, foliage and flowers and is decorated to the lid, sides and front apron. The back has been left plain and the underside retains the original leather carcass.

The lid opens to reveal an interior void of any fittings aside it is lined with a later fabric liner incorporating flowers.

Condition - As per the images. There is age-related surface wear to the fabric. This is a good-looking box. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
