A Charles I English antique bronze mortar, dated "1639", flanked either side with a cross. With flared rim and flared circular foot.
Provenance: from the Estate of the late Donald Sparshott.
Condition - Slight unevenness to the flanged rim. A crack is evident to the main body but is stable and does not detract from the mortar which displays very well. Surface wear commensurate with age but all in all good. This mortar displays incredibly well.
