An 18th-century repoussé worked antique brass candlestick of small origin. Most probably Swedish-made.
Made from sheet brass.
It has a single candleholder and twisted stem, a circular drip pan with crimped outer rim, and a stepped circular foot with repoussé and punch decoration. The outer rim is decorated in a rope-worked style.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition - Good as per the images aside from some age-related surface wear. The stem has been secured to the underside of the base by way of a hand-made screw and the addition of some later steel washers. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
