A small six-plank boarded oak chest or coffer.
17th-century in date.
Supported on cut end-boards.
The lid opens to reveal an interior fitted with a till.
The hasp remains.
Provenance - Found in Suffolk, England.
Condition - the plank top has split and has been repaired to the underside by the addition of two modern metal plates. The lock/lockplate has been replaced historically but no longer functions. Please refer to the images for further information. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
