A diminutive early 19th Century Scandinavian antique treen box plane.
Decorated in Norse style, the front inset with a raised decorative scroll, reminiscent of the decorative bows seen on Viking long boats, with scratch-carved decoration to the top, two finger recesses and a shaped aperture to accommodate a blade. The left side is inscribed "EES 1812". The right side is also inscribed with an "E", the balance of initials are difficult to read.
Condition - as per the images. Good overall. Lacking its blade. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
