Of diminutive size.

Carved with an image of Saint George slaying the dragon and bearing a small inscription (believed to be Hebrew) in penwork.

Saint George is a symbol carved in Jerusalem olive wood because of his story of slaying a dragon that demanded human sacrifices:

The story: Saint George is said to have slain a dragon that demanded human sacrifices, including the king's daughter.

The significance: Saint George's story represents good over evil.

The olive wood: Olive wood is significant in Christianity because of its mention in the Bible. The Bible describes Jesus praying under an olive tree on the way to Jerusalem for his crucifixion. Many believe that the cross on which Jesus was crucified was made from olive wood. The wood also reflects his sacrifice.

Saint George is also the Patron Saint of England.
