A superb decorative item which would grace any period or contemporary home.
We offer for sale a lovely 19thC bird cage.
French origin.
In the form of a building with a central dome, topped with a turned finial, and front door below (which can be opened and closed), flanked each side by a wing with raised roof, inset with a window.
The frame is constructed from timber which has been applied with gesso and paint. It is inset with metal bars. The base slides our for ease of cleaning.
Condition - one decorative knop is missing to the back of the left wing. Surface wear to the frame is commensurate with age. Please refer to the images.
