A delightful pair of late 16th-Century antique carved oak figural panels with a folk-art feel.
Both panels are deeply carved with male figures. Each figure bears a grimace. One figure sits whilst the other kneels.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition - Please refer to the iimages. There is surface wear and two minor losses, specifically to the right raised hand of thw right oanel where he has lost part of his forefinger and there is a small loss to the edge of the bottom of the left panel. Please remember that these panels are in excess of £rare survivor in excess of 440 years old.
