A rare survival from the late 15th to early 16th century, this carved oak tracery fragment once formed part of a Gothic rood screen. Its blind arches, delicate curves, and faint traces of original polychrome embody the craftsmanship of Tudor ecclesiastical interiors.
Measuring generously in scale, the fragment carries both architectural presence and devotional resonance. Salvaged from a medieval church setting, it now stands as a sculptural relic of England’s religious heritage — a piece that bridges Gothic artistry with the lived rhythm of worship.
Collectors of ecclesiastical antiques and architectural salvage will find in this tracery head not only decorative appeal but also a tangible link to the spiritual and cultural fabric of early Tudor England.
