18th Century Rustic Antique Wool Winder Dated "1797"

A late 18thC antique wool winder constructed from mixed timbers.
The large turned wooden cross pieces are united by an upper and lower centralised turned wooden spindle cap with an elongated iron axle set in between them. This is mounted in a turned wooden upright column, and is supported by a cruciform base bearing a carved date of "1797" and two sets of carved initials.
Provenance - Thought to be of Scandinavian origin.
Condition - Good as per the images. The wheel still functions fully. There is some age-related surface wear as one would expect. A further condition report is available upon request.
