This striking German Bellarmine jug (Bartmannkrug), dating to the late 17th century, showcases the artistry of the Rhineland stoneware tradition. The vessel is of baluster form, richly decorated with cobalt blue highlights and tiger‑glaze salt‑glazing, creating a dramatic surface effect. At the neck sits the classic bearded mask (Bartmann), a defining motif of these iconic jugs.
