An 18th-century cast-plaster lion standing on all four legs in an impressive pose (the pose is known as a lion statant in heraldry).
Offered for sale in its original paint. Cold-painted in several colours. His body has been painted to imitate bronze. His open mouth is painted red, revealing his large white-painted canine teeth. The base has been painted black to resemble ebony.
He has real presence!

Condition - Please refer to the images. There is surface wear commensurate with age.
