A characterful associated pair of Georgian-era treen plates, each hand-turned with subtle variations in form and finish, reflecting the artisanal nature of early domestic wares. The smaller plate bears a more pronounced rim and deeper bowl, while the larger offers a flatter profile with broader surface area—ideal for bread, cheese, or fruit. Both exhibit rich patination and surface wear consistent with age and use, including knife marks, grain undulations, and minor edge irregularities that speak to centuries of service.
These plates are not only functional but deeply evocative of rural life and vernacular craftsmanship. Their tactile surfaces and warm tones make them ideal for display in a period kitchen, on a dresser, or as part of a treen collection. The images show the nuanced differences in size, grain, and wear—each plate with its own quiet story.
