An 18th-Century English antique treen baker's peel.
A baker's peel is a tool resembling a large, flat shovel or trowel specifically designed for bakers to transfer bread, pizza, pastries, and other baked goods into and out of an oven.
This example has a shaped handle and carved decoration where the handle meets the blade (carrying surface).
With a wonderful surface skin / patination.
