An 18th Century Welsh Antique Pine Settle In Original Paint

They don't come much better than this!
Found in a farmhouse in mid-Wales, this settle hasn't been touched since the day it was made during the 18th-Century aside a minor repair to the tip of one front leg.
With a five-panelled back and down-swept arms over chamfered arm-supports, an elongated plank seat, supported by a plain apron and chamfered legs, united with the back legs by stretchers. An elongated single-panelled base joins the two rear legs together. It is likely that the settle was constructed in this way to prevent drafts around the sitters legs!
Provenance - Sourced directly from Wales.
Condition - Please refer to the images. The painted surface has gained a wonderful aged look from over 250 years of use! There are minor traces of inactive worm to the two front legs and some age related losses to the tips of the feet and legs, specifically the two front legs.
