A large 16th Century Flemish Antique hand-woven wool tapestry fragment.
Depicting men at arms dressed as soldiers with cavalry and pavilion tents in the background and set within a woodland.
It is surrounded by a later blue-braided edge.
Provenance - Unknown.
Condition - Relined verso. Some repairs are noted under close scrutiny, as one would expect, given the age of this item. The colours remain quite vibrant and the tapestry displays well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
