A 19th-century English antique cast brass horse, modelled in bold relief with muscular form, arched neck, and stylised mane and likely produced as an ornament for an overmantel. Supported on a stepped, ebonised, cast-iron base. This sculptural piece reflects Victorian interest in equestrian imagery and rural life.
The brass retains a dry, aged patina with traces of oxidation and surface wear. Its generous size and expressive detailing make it ideal for interior display.
A rare and characterful survival of English brasswork — perfect for collectors of equestrian antiques, antique metalware or Victorian decorative arts.
