A 19th-century English antique plaster plaque portraying William Shakespeare before Queen Elizabeth I.

An identical example of this plaque is held in the collection of The National Trust at Rufford Old Hall, Lancashire. The former home of the Hesketh family.

The plaque has been dated to circa 1870 - 1899.

Presented behind glass in a contemporary Gothic revival ebonised frame, this plaque is delightful and displays very well.

Provenance - Found in a property in Norfolk, England.

Condition - Good as per the images. The is no trace of any restoration to the plaque. The frame compliments the image. A further detailed condition report is available upon. 

Size - Including frame: Height 35.5 cm x Width 24.5 cm x Depth 7 cm (14" x 9 5/8" x 2 3/4").
