A 19th-century English antique brass galleried candlestick.
Once common in Victorian England, to find a complete example with its original glass flue is a rarity in this day and age. This is only the second complete example I have offered for sale in almost fifteen years!
With a single candleholder, this either accomodates a shorter candle by the use of an additional fitting or this can be removed to enable the use of a longer candle which is placed in the stem/holder below (see images). The gallery brass gallery below is reticulated with a decorative pattern. The gallery has the benefit of a single carry handle and is also fitted with its original suffer.
This looks wonderful when lit and oozes all the charm of the period which it relates to.
Provenace - Found with Norfolk, England.
