A large and rare mid 18th-Century German antique salt-glazed stoneware wet drug jar.
With a baluster shaped body, shaped carry-handle and spout.
Attributed to the pottery makers of Duingen, Germany.
Bearing a painted cartouche inscribed "Aqua Destillat Simpl". Translated - "Distilled Water".
This displays well.
Provenance - Ex-private collection, Germany.
Condition - please refer to the images. There are a couple of age related frits, specifically to the upper rim and spout. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
