An 18th-Century antique iron adjustable candleholder.

The candleholder is situated at the end of an articulated, retractable arm, connected to an iron upright stem by way of a rise-and-fall bracket, held against the stem by a sprung tensioner.

Supported overall on a rustic, hexagonal-shaped wooden base.

Provenance - Unknown.

Condition - Please refer to the images.  There is wear, rust and tarnishing to the iron commensurate with age and use. There are minor losses and cracks to the base and a historic split has an old blacksmith's repair by way of an iron plate.

Size - Height 80 cm (31 1/2")
