A superb 17thC English antique oak chest of drawers with one of our favourite designs of the period, a geometric front!
Circa 1680. Sourced from a private house in London.
With a plank top over four drawers, each, with a geometric design. Flanked on either side with applied fret-work decoration to the top of both side supports. Standing on raised stile feet.
The side panels are constructed from oak and pine.
Original drop handles to the drawer fronts. The escutcheons to the drawer fronts have been replaced historically.
Condition - there are traces of old worm. Historic and long since gone but treated as a precautionary measure. All in all, this is a lovely period piece that would grace any home! A further condition report is available upon request.
