17th Century English antique London-made bronze mortar, the outer surface bearing four cast Crowned Tudor Roses.
Made by the London “unidentified” foundry.
It is thought that the “Tudor Rose” motif may have been used as a commemoration of the return of the English Monarchy and the Restoration of King Charles II to the English throne.
Provenance: From the private collection of the late Richard Miller - a renowned Suffolk-based antiques dealer.

Condition - Good as per the images. This mortar displays incredibly well.
