A 17th-century Dutch antique brass and copper tobacco snuff box.
Engraved with a full length figure to both elongated-brass top and bottom panels. Each portrayed with swags above, scrolls flanking their legs, along with an inscription to the plinth base of each subject which they stand upon. The borders are decorated with linear engraving. All four copper sides and decorated in herringbone engraving.
Provenace - Ex-private collection, Yorkshire, England.
Condition - Please refer to the images. Surface wear is commensurate with age. The hinges remains fully functional and the box still closes firmly shut. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
